Mural for Walmart

I partnered with Now Art LA to create a mural for Walmart in Encinitas as part of their Community Mural Program.

The Community Mural Program is a celebration of communities across America showcasing cultural landmarks, unique features and landscapes. Cultural references are integrated into each composition reflecting the local diversity and spirit of neighborhoods nation wide.

For this piece, I wanted to capture the awe I felt when I first moved to San Diego and visited the Moonlight State Beach. The palm trees, seagull, great blue heron, and wildflowers are a nod to the rich biodiversity that can be found in Encinitas. I also wanted to capture the joy and magic of the San Diego County Fair.
